ninong raffy
his death last February 8, 2007 came as a shock to me. whenever i saw him he was always brimming with life. he was always trying out new things and perfecting his art. he is a renowned architect in Calgary. he also loves to paint and even took on photography.
there are so many things i can tell about him. his generosity. his confidence. his will. he had lived with so much life. we were not close but he was my dad's friend. their friendship that started during their high school years was not broken by distance and time. it was even strengthened by text messages and email. they listen to each other's rants and supported each other.
he was so young. same age as my dad. i fear that his death has affected my dad so much. i want to hug my dad and give him my support. but he is thousand of miles apart from me. but i know i'll do what i can.
my ninong was not always there while i was growing up like the rest of my dad's barkada way back from high school. but he always gave me an inspiration to follow my dreams and live my life. this event tells me to show my parents how much i love them everytime possible as we do not know what the future holds for us. what we can only do is live each moment to what we want. this is the only thing we can control and thus we have to make the very best of it.
