easter

last saturday, we went to bacchus marsh to do the stations of the cross. the people who attended it were a mixture of the filipino and spanish community. the first station started at the foot of the hill, and then going up the hill for each station. it was like imitating jesus' journey before being crucified. afterwards
there were a lot of food for everyone that fellow filipinos brought. i was able to eat spaghetti that tastes like the one from jollibee (hurrah for leah's cooking), goto, pancit, corn, etc... (takaw!)

this was a first for me there. and also a first to pray the stations of the cross without my family with me. i usually do it together with my mom and sisters at our lady of fatima parish in las pinas. then afterwards we visit my lola and have lunch with them. i miss them all. (i saw their pics from calatagan and wished i was with them)

we also went to church for the easter mass later in the evening. the mass included the light ceremony and also baptism, first communion, and confirmation for new catholic converts. it lasted for about 2 and a half hours. we were all hungry afterwards. a friend told me that we also have that kind of mass back in pinas. hehehe... i guess i never went to them. just went to the normal 1 hour mass. i enjoyed the easter mass as the choir singing the praises were a filipino group. they were very lively... i really miss hearing the songs being sung at the eucharist mass in pinas. i don't why but it fills my heart with something i can't explain. ^_^
